Guest guest
Sat Naam, I have a kid Baby Boy 3 months old his name is Pratik. In the night at around 11:30 PM to 1:30 PM he cries a lot we have observed this since many days. He doesn't open his eyes while crying, he cries in such a way that some one has threatened him. Now a days I say OM.... OM..... OM.... whenever he cries after a minute or two he becomes a cool. Could any one tell why this is happening. What should I do to stop this. regards Manoj
Guest guest
Dear Manoj , There could be 2 main reasons One could be he is colic which the mother should take care of her diet. Second could be negative vibes around ur place of rest . The second could be the main reason as since u recite Om he cools off. Guest guest
Not to worry! Babies cry! I have two of them.. 15 months and 4 yrs. It's called "cholic" (gas/indigestion) You can do many things to help. If you are breastfeeding, avoid foods that cause gas (broccholi, beans, etc.. consult a baby website for a better list). If you live in the US, you can buy something called "bean-o" that will reduce the gas (the mother eats it, not the baby), it's a natural enzyme that helps the mother's digestion. You might also look for something called "gripewater" It's also a natural digestion aid, but you give this one to the baby. It has oil of dill, which helps calm the baby and helps his/her tummy. Gripewater is a miracle worker. We found our bottle in an indian/asian grocery store. As a last option, you can also use over-the-counter "anti-gas" drops from the pharmacy.. it's non-natural, though.. "dimethicone" is the name of the chemical (breaks up gas bubbles in the babies tummy) Of course, if things seem strangely "bad" or the baby never stops crying, go to the doctor just to make sure it's only gas. But, really.. babies cry when they are that young. Most parents will comfort the baby until they are around 6 months old, then you REALLY should start allowing them to cry for a bit before you go to them. TRUST ME... if you go running to a 6 month old baby every time they cry, you WILL BE THEIR SLAVE for the next few years. Babies are smart..if they figure out that crying is what it takes to get you to come to them, that's what they do. Don't fret.. this is more of a trial for the parents than anything. The baby won't remember any of this, keep that in mind! May you have infinite compassion and patience while in this time of change! Good luck!
