Sat Nam,

I'm a newbie to KY - just been working/experimenting with it for a

couple of months. I started doing Kirtin Kriya about 1 1/2 week

ago. I got such strong positive results from it that I quickly went

from the 11 to the 31 minute version. I've noticed that it stirs up

a lot of stuff, and that it doesn't all get dispersed by the end of

the 31 minutes, so I'm gradualy increasing the time to get to the 62

minute version, adding time in the same proportion (1-1-2-1-1-0.2) as

the sections of the 31 minute version.

My question is: when I get to 62 minutes, if it is still the case

that stuff isn't fully handled by the end of the meditation, should I

continue to increase the time? Or should I instead do it 2x ro 3x

per day instead? Or is this a nonsensical question?

Thank you,

Dale

Are you doing a full Yoga set before Kirtan Kriya?

Working through the tensions of the body with the yoga will allow for

deeper, more satisfying experience with the more meditative Kirtan

Kriya. Satisfaction will come much sooner.

You can get an idea of what yoga set will work for you by doing your own

free numerology reading at http://www.3ho.org

I usually do a 20 min aerobic exercise, then Japji Sahib, then an ONG

NAMO GURUDEV NAMO, before starting the Kirtin Kriya.

I have a copy of the video "Kundalini Yoga" with Gurmukh. I've been

thinking of using the first 3 sections of that before Kirtin Kriya,

then doing the last section after finishing the Kirtin Kriya, but

haven't tried that yet. (This tape was my introduction to KY.)

I got my numerology reading a couple of weeks ago, but the only thing

on it I do is the Japji Sahib. To do the other mediations and

exercises, I would need to buy several books, and I don't have money

for that just now.

For the Japji Sahib, I got a mp3 recording of it from the net, and a

romanized text (with translation). For now I am following the

romanized version while listening to the mp3 so I can learn to hear

all of the sylables at normal speed. When I can do that, I will work

on incorporating the meaning into it, and then to recite it myself.

I'm doing it that way because it is my understanding that the sound

of the Japji Sahib in Gurmukhi is at least as important as its

meaning.
