Guest guest
Sat Nam all, just to throw in my 2 pennies for this confusion re deep breathing - nothing is as difficult than explaining simple, natural things ;-) Here is how I learnt deep breathing: Inhale: 1. start expanding the belly - push the navel point out and 'blow the balloon' 2. start lifting the rib cage - spread the ribs like an eagle his wings 3. finally lift the upper chest bones Exhale: 1. first relax the chest bones (feels like dropping the shoulders) 2. relax the rib cage 3. pull the navel point in to completely push all air out of the lungs So up to my knowledge the inhale is in the same order like Jenny described, the exhale just the other way round ?! The main point is to sit upright - esp. in front of the computer - otherwise this won't work ;-) Sending you blessings and light from Shanghai, Adarsh S. Guest guest
Sat Nam Adarsh, I love your poetic inhalation description. However, the questions remains. You state to expel the breath from top to bottom, Jenny explains to expel from bottom to top. Any definitive answer on this or objections to doing it both ways?
