Guest guest
Sat Nam! Let's say I take a Hatha Yoga pose and I do breath of fire during it, could this be considered a KY exercise? Thank you very much! Sat Nam! Pier (Ottawa) Canada
Guest guest
Sat Nam Pier, My feeling on your question, is that there is no such thing as transforming a hatha yoga exercise into a 'kundalini' one. Because kundalini yoga is very pure and complete in itself and as Yogi Bhajan has taught us, we are not supposed to change anything in the kriyas. There is a whole sequence that you must follow : chanting the Adi mantra in the beginning , do the kriya, deep relaxation, meditation, specific mantras and chant Sat Nam in the end. And there is a logic behind this sequence that will lead you to a specific effect. So I think that it's kind of pointless to assume that the breath of fire would transform any other yoga exercise into kundalini. It's like wearing ballet shoes and trying to tap dance with them..is it the same? Love and Light Sat Atma

Guest guest
Sat nam slabagen, The main difference is, that in kapalbhati the emphasis is on the exhale, you kind of let the inhale become automatic by itself, but in the breath of fire, the inhale and the exhale are equal. It is like a circular breath, where you press the navel point in, every time you exhale. If done correctly the breath of fire can go on for a really LONG time!
