Guest guest
What is the significance/importance of the spiritual name in Kundalini Yoga? Is this something that can only comes specifically from the Teacher/Guru or can this come to one through other means (ex. their meditations, Bath-Kol, etc.)? Does it connote some truth of the persons being, character, disposition, etc? Apologies if someone has asked these before, I have not gotten through all the posts yet. Guest guest
Sat Nam Mortaryan, > What is the significance/importance of the spiritual name in > Kundalini Yoga? When your spiritual name is pronounced, it will invoke your highest destiny. Because although we have a destiny, there is a scale of 1-7 from the highest to the lowest point that we can reach. So, when you are given a spiritual name, you are given a clue, as to where your soul can Be at its Best. What is the highest level that your soul can reach in this life. What is your highest quality, that if developed, will offer the most to the universal plan. > Is this something that can only come specifically from the > Teacher/Guru or can this come to one through other means (ex. their > meditations, Bath-Kol, etc.)? As far as I know, in Kundalini Yoga, the spiritual names are given by our teacherYogi Bhajan. You can send your name-date-place of birth and you receive a spiritual name. However, your destiny is written on your forehead and so, Yogi Bhajan has given some spiritual names (at least one that I know of) just by looking at somebody's forehead.
