Guest guest
Sat Nam Sudheesh, heartily welcome on this list! As you said, 'Lust and money is the strongest pull within this temporary world' - so what to do in order to become a true 'guru-seeker' ?! I assume Yogi Bhajan would look in your eyes and say in his gentle voice: 'get up and do Sadhana' ;-) As you might have figured out - everything starts in the head - first come the thoughts, then the words, followed by the actions, this shapes your character and finally becomes your fate. With KY we are going to lift and sharpen our awareness, clearing our mind, cleaning our body and in essence - become better persons. But yoga is not only a thing for half an hour in the morning, it's a life changing endeavor and a full time job. For sure, the pulling of this world remains, but if you realize it, 'label' it and detach yourself, your resistance is getting stronger. So simply start thinking positive, observe your mind, control your thoughts, detach yourself from this 'pulling temporary world'. For sure you will (as I and most people do) struggle and have sometimes fall-backs - that's part of our human nature. But the key is to stand up again and move forward. This needs a little bit discipline, constant remembrance of values and practice of supporting exercises (e.g. Sat Kriya, Kirtan Kriya, etc.). And to practice this attitude of 'never-give-up-and-always-come-back-to-the-good-habits' the best thing is to do your daily Sadhana. This is how it works for me and so far I feel pretty good and observe - just looking back and comparing my life with the existence of other people around - how much positive changes I have gone through. Just another thought pops into my mind: lust and money are not necessarily bad or evil - both have their meaning and sense in our life. If you can control your relation to both energies it is wonderful, but if you are getting obsessed or controlled by them, it is terrible..... Sending you light and blessings from Shanghai, Adarsh S.
