Guest guest
Sat Nam, Kumiko... Your reference book is right...awakening Kundalini could be dangerous if done the wrong way. Shaktipat {direct transmission of Spiritual Energy from Guru to Disciple} is one way. Another way is by doing daily Yoga practices, sit in your Meditation room every day, and then...go out and give your unconditional Love away. A sure and safe way, because it is "you" who determines how much Energy will flow from within by your prudent self-pacing. My own search taught me that if an intense desire for enlightenment is there, everything you need to achieve it will be there too...in due time. As for your Spiritual Name...the simple fact that you inquire about it is a good sign:-) Humbly... I was born in Tokyo (Japan) and now live in Sydney (Australia). When I was taught how to meditate during the course of Silva Method sometime ago, I had a fantastic sensation - a huge volume of very hot air came from the ground, passed through my spine upwards, then went out from the crown of my head. At that time, I did not know anything about Kundalini at all, so I wondered what it was and whether I was normal to have that sensation or not... I have read a various books, then I think it could be the awakening of Kundalini. But if so, the books said "need a Guru" to do that, otherwise dangerous. I was shocked and confused... I could not find anyone in Sydney to teach Kundalini Yoga. So when I found this web-site and the discussion group, I was so delighted. (You can not imagine how much I was excited.) Other members messages are very informative and also warm-hearted !! I have a couple of questions, so if someone could help me, it would be very much appreciated ! 1. Was that sensation the awakening of Kundalini ? Am I OK ? 2. I will practice Kundalini Yoga by following the instruction shown on the web-site, but do I need a teacher who can show me how to do that face-to-face ? If so, are there any qualified Kundalini Yoga teachers in Sydney ? 3. Could I get a spiritual name even very new to the course ? Thank you for your help, Kumiko Post your free ad now!
