Guest guest
Hi Sudheesh, Very special things happen when we open our entire being to this flow of energy, it's a gift to each of us and our "right to feel a rightness in our life". It's when the energy knows of only one way to express itself, though, (lust) that we get itchy and driven, and that's actually okay to a point (Ha!). The experiences we have when riding that tiger are not to be judged but processed and appreciated (Life, Liberty and the Happiness of Pursuit) in a self loving way. It certainly does make us move out of our comfort zone, which is good (and Yoga actually teaches to do the same but to expand our definition of Comfort). It's the "urge to merge" and as long as we can end up not feeling broken completely in half, then things are alright. There is often emotional work that is needing to be done to get to that sense of rightness. However, if the game gets to be too much, there are options. But I must say now, that there is no need to try and do something to "fix it". I can't stress this enough! Just work around it. When I practice my Sadhana at the classical times between 3 and 6am then I am opening my mind to an experience of my entire being. This has given me a latitude and depth to handle more of the this life force, so that any itchiness more or less disipates and distributes through my whole body system, psyche and beyond. It's something that I may have to try to put into words, one day, but for right now just trust that it is something that must be experienced first hand. One thing I'll say is I am understanding how a Monk can be a celibate. As long as there is the Amrit Vela (the Ambrosial Hours of Nectar), then that he has a chance from go from "commotion and Emotion to Devotion". This is one of the better kept secrets, to be for sure. It's even been said that to practice our yoga/meditation during this time is 10 times more powerful than at any other time of the day and that's because the subconcious mind is right there on the surface and if we choose to rise up at that time then we are essentially walking through the subconscious dreamlife, but with conscious awareness. There is no doubt in my mind that this is accurate. It is a very powerful thing. Please check out http://www.sahej.com/Sexual-energy.html for more on this from a "different" perspective Sat Nam, Dharam Singh The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don't go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don't go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don't go back to sleep. --Rumi - "sudheesh_s" <sudheesh_s Kundalini Yoga the Divine and the Flesh > > I am earnestly asking everyone here, has anyone in here been through > this same thing and been able to negotiate it? Guest guest
Hello Sudheesh, I understand where you are coming from, I to have attempted celibacy. I practice Ashtanga Yoga, pranayama and meditation. I have tried to sublimate the sexual energy which originates in the Muladhara Chakra and raise it up the shusumna. You are correct lust and money are very powerful distractions in this world Maya. Kundalini is the ultimate scientific process whereby one may obtain liberation from this world and be able to transcend it. To be able to transcend the attraction of money and lust is very difficult. If you are attempting celibacy ensure you are doing it for the right reasons and not to run from something. To practice celibacy or Bramachara is difficult in the modern western world you must basically isolate yourself, pracice a satvic diet, and avoid association with the opposite sex. I myself am attempting to practice celibacy for the second time. Anyway I hope you find what you are looking for.
