Guest guest
Hi all, I,ve been prcticing Ky for about 3 years and I,ve also gone thru' various physical and psycological symptoms. Now-a-days Iam experiencing mild pain in the chest region which is on and off and also slight heaviness. I also get sharp pains in my finger nails which sometimes radiates to the chest. Has anyone experienced this? Is it due to "K" or is it a medical condition? Please explain. Love, Priya Babu. Guest guest
Hi Priya Babu, Tell us a little more about yourself. This being an email group, you need to give us much more to work with. Knowing very little I'd say, first, go see a doctor....please! If the all their testing reveals nothing then you know it is psychosomatic dis-ease. In that case you you need to do the emotional work. Reichian Therapy or Bioenergetics is what I did for my major blockages once my Kundalini starting showing me where I needed to focus. It wasn't the Kundalini creating a problem. Kundalini is has been described as "the pressure of the Soul". This pressure will show you things that may be uncomfortable and may be incredibly ecstatic. Dharam P.S. Guest guest
Hi Dharam, I've been in this group for a very long time, but as a silent watcher. I've also introduced myself before, but since I don't involve myself very much in the discussions, you might all have forgotten me. Never mind. I'll introduce myself again briefly. I learnt KY in 2001, not the Yogi Bhajan style. The founder of my style of KY is Guru Paranjyothi Mahan from South India. His, is the simplest form of KY. Initially, I went thru some of the physical discomforts like nausea, vomitting and decreased appetite etc. At a later stage, I felt my solar plexus chakra spinning. I just could'nt believe myself but it was real. I felt as if there was a wheel spinning in the pit of my chest, just above the navel. I've had brief out of body experiences also. Sometime back there was extreme nerve pain in the neck during meditation. My neck would go very stiff too. The pain would subside immediately if I stop concentrating. My throat irritates almost all the time I meditate and I cough. Lately I've been feeling a warmth in the chest region and also in the back only during meditation and now it has developed into heaviness and mild pain. So there you go..that's about me. Love Priya Babu. Tax Center - File online by April 15th
Guest guest
SAT NAM priya babu, I wanted to share that I have experienced this too. mostly in the left arm once it was so severe that I thought I had to go to emergency may be I would have heart attack as it was starting from heart to palm. That night I had dream and in my dream I was complaining of the pain in the arm and I felt that there was major blockage and blood couldnt flow and blocked with tight nuts and bolts, was praying God to help me relieve the pain and then all of a sudden a Boy possibly Guru came and pulled that nut and bolt releiving the pain and that set itself and it was a great experience , I enjoyed it. However, I keep having arms pain off and on and they subside on themselves gaining more strength each time. Thanks Akkama Tax Center - File online by April 15th http://taxes./filing.html
Guest guest
Well before I say a whole lot, I want to say you are showing some courage to share your experience with us. I will do my best to address what I see. A Kundalini practitioner has a lot more voltage running through him or her than your average Hatha yogi. Hatha is a technology to bring the apana and prana, the moon and sun powers, together to raise the consciousness through the central equilibrium line, same as the Kundalini, except it is done over a period of many years versus a few months which is the case for Kundalini. Sometimes a person can have a very powerful and direct experience in their first session. For this reason it is very important to Tune in using the Adi Mantra. One needs to bow to the GOD within and to the entire transformative potential in the moment and not to another human or outside situation. It really is about being here and now. This sets the space. A study was done of patients in a cardiac ward and the single thought that they all had in common was the pervasive sense that "there wasn't enough time" in their day to day living. Not feeling at ease in the moment is dis-ease. This dis-ease comes from and creates fear and worry, which will often look like anger or bitterness. In this situation what is happening is that basic security and coziness is not in one's life. The First and Second Chakras are needing to be balanced and that coarse Red energy needs to blended with the White light of pure spirit. If we pump the lower chakras through yoga or even althetic exertion, that unbalanced, coarse energy will push up and manifest in the heart or elsewhere as tension or dis-ease or worse. At this point all one can do is embrace the insecurity and fear. Allowing your need for help from another is a good place to start. A release of the old traumas (your body remembers) is required. Crying to release sorrow, shaking to release fear and pounding your fists and yelling to release anger will tranform the old trauma. This is something that requires guidance if it is to be done to a point of stillness. You'll know when you're Done. Trauma and therapeutic are not contradictory. In terms of your practice, I feel you need to chant a lot after you have done your yoga. Kirtan Kriya is very good for sorting through things. Additionally, Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung (Siri Gaitri Mantra) is very powerful and healing. (Oh, by the way, what is your full birthday?) One other thing is to make sure you are exhaling properly and fully as a general practice....watch yourself. Also, while doing your practice you need to exhale fully and pause slightly before beginning the inhale. This is very important in releasing the grief and fear. To overcome our anger we need release our resistance to the inhale. And lastly, smile inwardly and relax your facial muscles, jaw, tongue and teeth while you practice. This tightness in you neck and throat is indicative of repressed expression. Allow full calmness to come into your being and don't forget to layout for 11 minutes, at least, before meditating. There is an incredible range of expression that you can have if your can somehow listen to your body's wisdom. It's trying to tell a whole lot your's has a lot to say and as a person I am sure you have a lot to give. There are a lot of people who have turned themselves off to their bodies. You haven't and be thankful for the pain. Trust your heart and not your head so much. Listening to your body requires a diffuse kind of concentration. Just learn to follow the breath to connect with your im-paired areas, consciously. This alone will begin to bring things together. The warmth is a good sign but you'll want to go a lot deeper. And lastly, doing your practice in the Amrit Vela (3 - 6 am) is by definition being in your body and guiding "training" your subconcious.
