Guest guest
Dear friends... Although not technically 'on-topic'... I was inspired by this article in the Indian Express so I'd like to share it with you. It's about a man named Fauja Singh who at 93 completed the Adidas Marathon running 'with god as his partner '... I particularly noted his key to success in his simple diet! :-) You can find it as the main article on www.sikhnet.com or follow this link : http://www.indianexpress.com/full_story.php?content_id=45350 May we all be thriving so well at his age... Guest guest
His name, BTW, means servant of God. (or slave to the infinite) Adi means FIRST or PRIMAL (Adi Shakti or Adi Mantra). Das means servant or slave. I translated Adi Das as (Servant of the Primal Being). This makes sense. He has kept on despite losing his wife years ago and actually seems quite comfortable going solo, as evidenced by his capacity to run.
