Guest guest
Dear AKkama avanti, Yes, you're describing the movement of shakti through the nadis and chakras. This has a purifying effect. Don't be anxious about it. Everyone's system is different. Some people begin to experience throughout their bodies and around their bodies a sort of an electric radiance that, as you say, has a softening effect. It's hard to describe. You feel a sort of melting, lightenning, transparency, energy flow and expansion within and through the cells and atoms of your body. As you say, eventually this evens out. People practicing the KY of Yogi Bhajan begin to feel this early on, in various parts of their bodies, and suffusing and penetrating steadily deeper, as the body begins to build a charge. Some people also have these shakti penetrating movements, such as shaking or some deep body movement that takes over automatically, sometimes even manifesting as a yoga posture or movement or pranayama. Inwardly just relax, be passive, notice and release, accept and it will even out. If you try to grip it with your attention, it may (or not) create some sense of distress or confusion. KY, as all yogas, are a practice of applied awareness. Keep the mind still, which will happen anyway as the energy vibration (voltage) increases above the frequency of thoughts and images, and after the active part of each KY exercise, just wait and watch and you will feel a flowing sensation of decontraction in the area the KY exercise impacted, then a sense of radiance in that area that begins to flow and balance throughout the body. This is the secretion of glands of the body that comes in to support the enectric charge placed on some part of the body through posture and breathing and the effect of sound amplified through and around the body, when the voltage of the nervious (nadi) system is increased. Also at the end of every set or kriya, take some time to relax deeply (yoga nidra) to allow the body systems to consolidate and integrate the energies accumulated and generated throughout the specific set you are practicing. Practice very day, develop a sadhana (daily spiritual practice) and everything will advance for you on its own. Your system will pass almost relentlessly through every stage, where in other yogas people get hung up for years. As this electric radiance begins to even out and the polarization of the atoms of the body normalize, the cosmic voltage will pass through more and more evenly, and you will notice your Self abiding more and more deeply in the expanding still flow of that awareness, until you begin to realize that this awareness is actually the awareness of the Infinite Being flowing through and illuminating your mind and body, and you awaken to the discovery "I am That." The energy channels of the body the nadis, are like the fillaments in light bulbd. As the charge in the body begins to increase, you begin to be able to see from an illumined perspective in, through and around the body, as single pervasive awareness, no longer gripping and focusing on the thoughts and images perculating up into the mind. What Yogi Bhajan calls our "body armor" begins to dissolve, and your awareness simply disengages from focused attention and abides in knowing and being. Someplace in that deepening, lightening, softening, releasing flow of energy, there is a sense of a discriminative faculty that emerges in your consciousness, through which you begin to know that the light of the seer and objects seen within the pervasive screne of awareness you abide in are different, and your mind will be drawn into that with a sense of ever deepening enquiry as to where the source of the light of the seer arises. This will begin to be discovered to be in the Harimandr of the Heart, to the right of the sternum, where you will feel a sense of steady abiding, like being grounded in your own being, transfixes, like a magnet around which everything aligns and is drawn into, from where thoughts can no longer arise. Just remain steady and you will begin to notice that you are passing through, releasing, even the sense of radiant bliss the body (ananda) passes through, a sort of delinking of the "I" from the body and mind, wherein you become more and more like the sun, radiant, even, giving caring, indiscriminantly, as though the entire mind enters the surrendering stream of the soundless sound of sound "whaaa..." In a word, just "Keep Up!" Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, Whahe Guru, ..... (reverberating through every pour of the body, through every cell, beyond beyond..) Pieter -- akkamahadevi avanti <akku96 Re: Body Shakes SAT NAM, BOth ways. Body parts like arms and legs, shake during excercise when I hold for a maybe slightly longer time when energy flows. The entire body rocks by itself during and after meditation while I feel the energy rising. It has a pleasant feeling and it is involuntary and that happens until the energy rises itself and balances out. It varies from anywhere between 1 min to 3-4 min depending on how intense the meditation is. Also, when I do BOF then the lower stomach muscles will be flickering inside and feels somewhat tender. These days I notice that my whole body, all cells, changing like becoming soft and undergoing transforamtion. The energy inside me is constantly there and kind of makes me feel sick . I practice Yoga by myself following KY rules and do not have a yoga teacher in this state. Thanks AKkama avanti
