Guest guest
I started meditation and i don't really know how to meditate. My question is that should i start meditating on my chakras and every month move my attention to the next chakra or should I meditate on all of my chakras every day? What meditation is good? Guest guest
for Mirek Wiater i'm new to kundalini but have been meditating for awhile and i think i can answer your question.... the important thing with meditation is that you need to stay with the basics for more than a month.... whether you use your breath, visualization, or mantras.... you need to stay with one chosen form until you have a good control over your mind... if you bounce back and forth between differant kriyas you surrender to the chattering monkey mind which craves entertainment and you will soon fall away from meditation as the mind becomes bored and then seeks other diversion.... it is a common occurence among novice meditators,,,it's all rather like learning how to drive a car.... you have to learn the basics and become accomplished enough to control the car.... with kundalini, my understanding is that you have to decide on which chakra needs the most work.. which shows the most blockage... give your chosen chakra's kriya a week, then reasess .... if you feel it is the right one then stay with it for about 40 days to improve the negative traits..... 80 days will plant the seeds so that it becomes a positive habitual pattern.... a total of 120 days will cement it for you and then you can choose another kriya.... so in effect you need to stay with it on a daily basis for at least 4 months..... it's my understanding as well that when you find the one that is your life key then a minimum of a 1000 days will establish self mastery.... but there is no rush to this... it isn't a contest where a prize is given to the most accomplished meditator who can do the most tricks.... this like all good meditation whether kundalini, vipassana or samadhi is about mastery of the mind.... learning to live in the here and now by balancing your body, mind and soul ... and ultimately enlightenment.... i hope that this helps in some small way..... give it a try ... though if you can, at some point doublecheck with a good teacher of kundalini... while i think that my understanding is good and is on track, it may still be faulty in some points Sat Nam........... rick
