If you know of a video film maker we could produce a short video about it. Mostly you have to get with a person you know who ties a turban and watch him and then let them help you help you until you can do it on your own. It really should only take a few days of practicing to learn. Come to Winter or Summer Solstice and you will find lots people willing to show you. I'll tell you how I do it but it probably won't help very much. It's an experience you have to ... well ... experience! First I get 12 to 15 foot long piece of quality cotton voile that is about 3 feet wide. Then my wife and I stretch it by holding opposite ends. Keep it tense so it doesn't sag much if at all. We first make a fold with our left hands of about six inches and we hold that. (By doing this means you will each be working from opposite ends folding towards the middle). Then with our right hands we begin folding towards the left hand. When you have it all folded you should have a cloth folded or rolled so it is about three or so inches wide. Fold it lengthwise in about foot long segments so you can then wrap it wound your head. Looking in a mirror grab the available end and hold it in your teeth. Bring the rest around behind your head so it comes up just to the right of your rishi knot and diagonally down across your forehead and cheek and just under your ear. Bring it around again slight lower on your head on the right side and slightly higher on the left. As you bring it across the forehead be sure and give it a twist, just one, to creat a little ridge. Continue going around in this manner (3-5X) until you have a short end that you will then tuck in at the front keeping it flat, not twisting as before covering those folds or ridges you twisted. Now let go of the end that is in your mouth and pull it out slightly on top (that first fold) and cover the top of your head and hair. You''l have to unfold it a bit to do this. Pull slightly on the end you had in your mouth and tuck it in in back. There! Now you've got a great looking turban! Any questions?
