Guest guest
Sat Naam, ji! In Kundalini yoga, we use the Punjabi pronunciation of what stems from Sanskrit words. Punjabi, first written down in the Gurmukhi script by Guru Nanak, is the language of the Sikhs. This usually means the a/"uh" at the end of some words is just left off; same as with the Hindi language which is in the same script as Sanskrit (Devanagari). Mula Bandha --> Mul Bandh Pranayama --> Pranayam Asana --> Asan (Virasana --> Virasan) Most Hatha yoga teachers use the Sanskrit pronunciation in classes, although I have sung many bhajans in Hindi in Hatha circles too.
