Guest guest
Sat Nam, sufi circles are done in Easy Pose. You sit with a straight spine (ideally with the chin slightly tucked in --> Throat lock), do long deep breath through the nose. The hands are on the thighs, just over the knee caps. Then you start circling your torso, inhale come to front, chest to front, exhale come to back, push back backwards. Normally you do this circling movement in clockwise direction, after half time you reverse to counterclockwise motion. The 'width' of the circle depends on your personal desire and need - some make very subtle circles, more like a grinding motion, others make WIDE circles. Let your intuition be your guidance..... Guest guest
Satnam Siri Adarsh S Ji! In your Email on sufi circles, you have, interalia, mentioned that: "Inhale come to front, chest to front, exhale come to back" I think it should be in reverse order that is Inhaling go to back and exhaling come to front, chest to front. I M practising it in the order mentioned by me . Please confirm is it in order or not. Further please also confirm as to whether it should be practiced only with long deep breathing or can it be practiced with retention of breath also i.e. circling of torso, while holding the breath, once in clockwise direction & once anti clockwise direction i.e circling of torso should start after fully inhaling(slow & deep) & continued till breath is retained inside to the possible extend & then stop circling and exhale fully and then inhale and repeat in reverse direction. Comments/ suggestios from other group members are also requested. With kind regards, R N Gupta- Mumbai- India On Tue, 11 May 2004 Jürgen Laske wrote : >Sat Nam, > >sufi circles are done in Easy Pose.
