Guest guest
Sat Nam Pete, Learning how to remain calm can be difficult when it comes to confrontations and arguments especially within the corporate arena, friendships, crowded transportation, traffic, etc., and remaining calm can be difficult, but it's definitely an opportunity to work on our compassion towards those whom we do not agree with and visa versa. Yes, spiritually, one can and eventually will learn how to handle life's daily challenges that spontaneously confront us, in a neutral and positive way; Kundalini Yoga does just that. It help us to develop that quality within us, and gives us the knowledge to realize and understand a negative scenario, as well as how to handle it in the most positive light for all concerned. However, depending on the level of conflict/abuse and discomfort/safety one is subjected to, whether it's at the office, marriage, or home life, "hanging in there" may not be the most healthy solution for those involved; especially if the abuse continues to escalate and all positive measures taken were unable to provide relief. Blessings, mvghm Hi Is the big life lesson (or part of it) that Dharam referred to, to teach those people who used to try to dominate one with their negative emotions, that they can't do it anymore? One can't always avoid their presence. Perhaps by "hanging in there" calmly one is actually holding a mirror out for them to see themselves, making it uncomfortable for them. Perhaps they too can learn from the experience. Chela Shanti Pretoria
Guest guest
Hi M Thank you for making me see a bigger picture: I must admit that I didn't have extreme situations in mind when I replied to Stephene's email, only to the latter, specific situation and my own experience.
