Guest guest
Sat Nam Jai Gopal Kaur! Ayurvedically menopause/peri menopause involves all three doshas. It is a woman's transition from the "Pitta" time of life into "Vata". Shatavari (asparagus racemosus) is an Ayurvedic herb that is essential for all woman, but the dosage may be increased during this phase. Sitali breath, cooling walks in the moonlight or by a body of water, using organic coconut oil for morning abhyanga, and using sandalwood oil on the third eye before bed will all ease the "symptoms." An attitude of transition and acceptance is also important. This is not a dis-ease as in most Western Doctors view. It can be challenging; by staying in balance with all three doshas the passage is greatly eased. Lion's Pose and Cobra are especially helpful. A drop of warm sesame oil with mild finger pressure on the marma point Lohitaksa about 3-4 " below the navel, on top of the pubis bone may bring relief.
