Guest guest Posted June 23, 2004 Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 dear odette, i am sorry for your loss. please know that there is much that you can do. to open the throat chakra, chant long sat nams. for depression, mental and emotional traumas, the sa ta na ma meditation or kirtan kriya is great. doing the KY and the Kirtan Kriya every day will lift your mood and your energy. Kirtan Kriya will help you connect with your spirit and feel whole again, in spite of the loss you are suffering. try giving up the cigarettes... if you do breath of fire for 3 mins, spinal flexes for 3 mins and the sa ta na ma meditation for 3 mins, that will assist you with the addiction to cigarettes. you may taste the toxins on your tongue - this is normal because the breath of fire is a purifying breath and will help to eliminate the toxins from your body. the meditation one may do to help release the soul of your brother from the earth is sat siri siri akal...if you can get a cd with the aquarian sadhana chants, it is the fourth one. you sit on your heels as you chant the mantra. one of my favourites is soul passages by guru shabad singh khalsa. keep up and you will be kept up. i know that there are many other people that usually are quite vocal on this site that will have many things to offer you, but they are probably at solstice this week....so i wanted to offer a few suggestions in the meanwhile. take care of yourself. sat nam annalee Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
