Guest guest
Hello to all, My name is Jean. I have been drawn to this site a couple of times now, but I haven't started any work. I am interested in balancing my chakras (my whole life I feel like I have been off kilter somehow, never really comfortable anywhere-even w/myself). So I started to read about chakras and how if one is deficient or excessive it can cause imbalances in you and your life. But what I read seems contradictory. How do you know what to do when you seem to have all chakras deficient and excessive at the same time? For example--I recently moved and I feel uprooted, yet I still constantly think of $$ and feel there isn't enough. I have a great deal of difficulty w/emotions most of the time, yet it can be like a dam has broken somewhere and I will be out of control for days. Digestive disorders, low self-esteem, but a great deal of pent up anger as well. Poor posture, slumped shoulders, but possessiveness and jealousy come up often. Teeth grinding, yet overtalkative. Difficulty concentrating, poor memory. materialism. Does that make sense? I don't mean to make myself sound so unstable, I get through ok, but I knoe there is a more calm and balanced way to feel. I want to start meditating and chanting. I was thinking it would help me to focus if I had a mala(is that the right way to put it?)and an area w/incense and a pillow to use just for that purpose. Does it sound like I'm on the right path? I didn't want to do too much at first, just start slow and add things as my practice becomes more solid. Can someone help w/my dillemma about the chakras? I am afraid that if I just do something like poses on my own I will do the wrong thing and make the problem worse. I look forward to any replies. Thank you, Jean
Guest guest
Hi there Jean, Im Nilesh from India, read ur letter which is addressed to all KY Group. I thought, i wud share my suggestions on the same which may be wrong, but may help you too, upto u if u think it will fit ur life. >From your letter it seems there;s a gret unstability in ur mind & hence life is haywire. Since our life & behaviour is reflection of our mind, we have to work on getting our mind on platform which is in our control & control will not come unless we stablize our mind. Hence, I suggest you to have a deep introspection of your life from variuous perspective ie: social, personal, financial & anything else u can find, which will get u at point where u can understand which one u need to diagnose or where things are going wrong..... then take a practical approad to the same, in the mean time u can practise relaxing ur mind through meditation & develop an attitude of gratitude towards ur life & count wht u have in ur life, including ur healthy, can walk , talk , see things & ur health is fine... Kundalini Yoga is a divine power which will help u make a better human being by enhancin your potential in all aspects of your life, but before getting into it, its very necessary to calm your mind. Its not pole vault tht we will have have pole in hand & can reach 30-40 fts, but a step by step procedure in making of a better humanbeing. Since, peaceful & serene mind allows the dawn of divine knowledge to flow in. Also, if ur not getting things in ur life which u are working hard,I strongly recomend reading a book which changed my life, the name is "Many Masters & Many Lives .. By David Brynne" it will give a gross meaning of life that will help u understand certain equations which otherwise we never understand throughout our lives. Also, i always belive, that surrender yourself to the ALLMIGHTY..which is called by different names & is in different forms, some call HIM Krishna, some Christ, some call him Allah...but its all one father for all of us..hence surrender your failures to him & he'll take care of it. And belive "THE BEST IS YET TO COME".....if u dont belivee wht im sayin try the above once..& expereince for ur self. Jeane, I am straight enough inanswereing you as a collegue....may be I wrong too...but my reading of life is just like wht I have mentioned above. Since, even i have been through hell but when i surrender Im free , I do my best in everything & rest HE's the one who's takin care of..... Take care, bye for now..... Guest guest
Dear Jean, Pick a KY set and start doing it. Practice at least 30 minutes everyday. Then you will have many new experiences. Right now you are in your head trying to figure everything out. You can't find a solution this way. Balancing is a progressive thing. With regular practice you will gradually achieve deeper and more expanded experiences of harmony and balance. Do something is the short answer. If you need more instruction and don't have a class near by, get a video on www.yogatech.com and practice with that. Don't worry about am I balancing my chakras. Set your intention to feel better. Start simple as you said. Watch what happens and what results you get. Then add or change sets as you go. You have laid out the issues that are up for transformation. Keep this letter and watch your progress. The great thing is that is in a month or two, you will be very pleased with yourself.
