Sat Nam Jean!

If you search the archives for rudraksha beads you will come up with quite a

bit of info...I don't remember if the discussion was from last year or the

year before. www.rudraksha-ratna.com also will answer your questions, you may

purchase beads inexpensively, already blessed and string your own mala, the

blessing, energy comes also from your use of the beads while chanting or

performing

japa. Do you have a teacher? that would be a great place for you to start.

Gurmukh's book The Eight Human Talents is a must read for you! She speaks about

the use of mantra and breaks down the 8 chakras chapter by chapter with

suggestions for practice to increase your awareness of the energy system on a

physical, mental, and spiritual level. From the book and from Yogi Bhajan...

"Men of great knowledge actually found out about all these chakras-their

workings, their petals, their sounds, their infinity, their co-relationship,

their

powers. They found out what the chakras were. And they found out that the life

of a human is totally based on these chakras. They developed it into a whole

science. This total science gave birth to Kundalini Yoga. That is how

Kundalini Yoga was born." Yogi Bhajan

To find a teacher you can go to www.3HO.org and search your area. A teacher

and a spiritual support group (sangha) would be a powerful assist on your path.

They will help with some of the confusion.

Blessings for peace!
