Guest guest
Yes, I believe i haven't written to you before about your anxiety. I myself don't usually feel comfortable around people and have been depressed for most of my life, until i discovered the kriya Balancing the Nervous and Immune systems in Transition to a heart centered world. It hurts but if you can hold out the full 11mins it is well worth it. I do it for 30mins!!! The difference in the way you feel is incredible!!! The nabbhi kriya, found on the yoga tech webpage brought me relief from anxiety for about 2months, but then my tolerance for kundalini went up or maybe the true cleaning began and it was too painful, so i stopped. Also, i kriya ive been doing is magnetic field and heart center which also is comforting. The magnetic field also has a tremendous influence on the way you feel, i find i feel more connected and happier when i do this kriya from Transitions and the effects last through the day. A weak magnetic field could be what is making you feel so anxious. I've found this to be the case but everyone has different needs. There is a depression meditation a pranayam (The capacity to deal with life), but i haven't really tested this out so then again it is just trial and error. Sat kriya, makes me feel good but after 30mins, im anxious again. Finally the Sodershan kriya or meditation, has had medical studies where it out performed antidepressants. Good luck I'm anxious too to get there(Anxious being the operative word.), but i think there are many twists in the road to relief. It seems i do one set, and i say wow this is it and it works for awhile, but then the effects go away or dissapate. Let me know if you find anything good. I've written to you personally a couple times before, I'm not sure if you got my letters, let me know so i can send you information. Sincerely, Chris Charles
Guest guest
Sat Nam, Chris offered some very good ideas. And I love the testimonial of how different you felt. Thanks so much for sharing in detail the effects the the kriyas. KY really does work. Strenghtening the magnetic field and the nervous system definitely will make you feel less afraid. To become grounded you have to feel the sensations in your body. At first this is awkward. But start with feeling after each exercise. Take a few moments to be present to your breath as it slows down and to the vibrancy in your body. You will experience some pleasant sensations after exercises and this will facilitate your being present to all the sensations. One guideline is to train yourself to be comfortable feeling uncomfortable. Then you can relax and reduce fear. One major problem is that you do not want to feel the fear. Once you let it be ok to really feel it in your body, it will lose its hold on you. Let us know. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur :+)
Guest guest
Sat Nam Chris, Jeffrey here. I've been a member of this group for a couple of years, but am an expert lurker. I do read these everyday though. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I suffer from anxiety and have had different levels of depression most of my life. Tried the prescription drug route for a couple of years, but found that KY actually helps me deal with the anxiety/depression and helps me move forward. You and I practice the same kriyas! However, there are a couple more you may want to try: Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo for 11, 22 or 31 minutes is a good one when I'm feeling over anxious. Hands in prayer position throughout the chant. For me, it really brings the anxiety level down, brings me into great meditation and allows me to see my true, beautiful self. There is a meditation Gururattan gives in New Millenium Being #89. I've been using that and found that it brings comfort and clarity to work through anxiety. If you try these, let me know how they work for you. Guest guest
sat nam everybody First , i want to thank all the group for their help and special thanks for chris ( i aplogize for not writing back to you since i didnt get your letters in the first place) and also to Gururattan Kaur Khalsa with her warm comments and to everybody that shares with us here their experiences. yes, chris i read what you wrote about the effects of those kriyas and it is really encouraging and i will try them but i didnt understand tha part of the Nabhi kriya and how it was very powerful cleaning. Also ,i recommend a book that i have reading for the past 5 weeks which i believe it kinda help me release some of the LUGGAGE of my shoulder and my heart , the book is about facing yourself and your past life and act as a confrontation between you and yourself and provokes those dark areas in our past lives that we are trying to ignore but unfortuneately they come back and chases us as long as they are nor resolved. The book name is "self matters" for Dr.Phillip McGraw and you can find it at www.amazon.com. once again many thanks for everybody and i will try those kriyas and let you know what happens. sat nam sincerely Ahmad
