Guest guest
Sat Nam! David, This may be relieved with any Pitta calming strategies. Drinking cooling aloe vera juice and also applying it to the tongue will help. Avoid hot, spicy foods, the heat (as much as possible), practice cooling sitali breath, go for walks in the moonlight or next to a body of water. Practice cooling meditation and yoga, in general avoid over heating the body, mind, and breath! This is Pitta season so it is even more important to give yourself this gift of loving and caring for yourself. Pitta emotions, out of balance, are irritability, anger, even rage, critical nature and judgemental. Yes, any form of auto-immune dis-ease (the body turning against itself) can be viewed as Pitta. Check with an Ayurvedic physician or practitioner for a more individual diagnosis and information on what herbs you could use. If you would like to e-mail me off list I can be of more assistance. Visit my web site www.skyoftheheartyoga.com for more in-depth analysis, guidance, and Auyurvedic products. In my current newsletter you can find more information on calming Seasonal Pitta.
