Guest guest
I was just wondering about the attitude of KY to alcohol. I presume its negative. Does it advocate or insist on total abstinence. If so, I would like, rationally, to understand why. Is the 'ban' on alcohol, if indeed there be one, couched in terms of spiritual or physical reasons....or is it merely, as a sceptic secular mind might suggest a mere trapping of traditional puritanism (not my allegation, i am merely seeking) It has been suggested that mixing alcohol consumption with Ky is dangerous. Why exactly? And what about sex...I would appreciate any links people may have to any thoroughgoing examinations of the relationship between sexual energy and spiritual energy, and how sexual activities either can help on/or hold back spiritual development. And what is the relationship between KY and tantric yoga? I am not trying to intiate 'off topic' discussions, nor question what may be believed, just trying to understand life. have a great day Jürgen Laske <jlaske wrote: Sat Nam Suky,
Guest guest
In regard to raising Kundalini...In Yogi Bhajan's words " Two cautions:You must practice neck lock. Pull the neck straight in, keeping the spine and neck absolutely straight with no bend in the neck. If you do not apply this lock, the higher flood of circulation will cause the cells of the brain to expand and people will get upset and crazy. When you do yoga, please for God's sake, remember you are playing with the energy which is the life force of an atom. You can well understandwhat you are doing. I'm giving you a word of warning. The prana has been described in the Shastras as that which makes the atom live. The voltage here in the wall socket is 110? And do you touch it without insulation? No! Then how can you play with the pranic energy? Proper technique and preparation is the insulation you need. Is money dangerous? It is just energy. As long as you practice a total discipline or a complete and balanced kriya, there is no difficulty. " Sat Nam! Guru Ravi Kaur
