Meditation before sleep

Namaste,

 

During bedtime, I have this habit. I lie in Shavasana, take few deep breaths,

relax completely and then meditate on the third eye chakra. I keep watching the

third eye crawling sensation and the whole face vibrating and buzzing with

energy. My body is totally dead. I lie like this for about an hour or till my

body begins to ache. After that I turn to my side and go to sleep. Sometimes I

fall asleep meditating. Is this habit ok? I really enjoy doing this. I do not

have any difficulty going back to sleep after that.

Only you can tell if this creates problems for you. Body aching is not a

good thing. But being present at your third eye is a powerful exercise in

centering. How about doing this with the other chakras and getting to know

them? Sounds like you have reached a certain mastery with the 6th chakra

and are now ready to focus on empowering your other chakras. That might

reduce the aching in the body.
