Guest guest Posted July 25, 2004 Report Share Posted July 25, 2004 Sat Nam Kim, If I could make a suggestion.... before you consider taking "anything" for your hormones have your hormone levels checked to see where the imbalance is, I am suggesting this because many times women will take natural hormone supplements to give them estrogen when in fact that could make matters worste...I am going thru perimenopause. My symptoms are change in my menstrual cycle,nightsweats,irritablity, fatigue,mood swings etc...I took a saliva test which showed my hormone levels & found out that my estrogen levels were high,testosterone levels are high but my progesterone levels are low...because of my high levels of estrogen it has affected my thyroid (low thyroid) & thank goodness I caught it in time for by correcting my hormonal imbalance, my thyroid is back in balance...had I have taken a supplement for estrogen, no telling what mess I would have been in.... what many women are not aware of is that if your estrogen levels are too high for too long, it will affect your thyroid... once you know where your levels are, you can decide on "what supplements" would be best for you....
