Congratulations Simran Kaur,

Simran is remembering (re-membering), how ever you manage to do so.

Chanting is only one way. (There are many ways to "Hear" G.O.D. and resonate

with and recognize the "Shabad Guru"). Yoga, in it's essence, is re-membering.

Bringing our various aspects and members together again; Body, Mind and

Soul.

Take a little listen to this excerpt of a talk by Alice Walker (author

of "The Color Purple"). I recorded her last summer at the annual Summit

of The International Association of Black Yoga Teachers. Although she is

not talking particularly about Simran, she is right on time about Yoga

and how we integrate our sacred yoga experiences into our life beyond the

mat/sheepskin.

The full recording is in production and will be available this week.

Regarding pronunciation

Sometimes it comes out sounding like Simrin, sometimes Simrun, sometimes

Simran. It's almost as though there is no vowel between the r and the n.

It is also pronounced with an 'a' sound after the m and n, so that it

sounds like sim(a) ran(a)

Wahe Guru!
