Hi everyone;

Over the short time I have been doing KY I have noticed that there

are a lot of exercises that require the pumping of stomach in and out

while doing breath retention. Could someone give me a detailed answer

as to why this is so important?? It brings up a lot of different

things, literally, but I can only conjecture as to what is going on.

If possible I would like to here about the physical, emotional and

spiritual aspects of doing these movements.

I look forward to your replies.

Regards

J. Frank

Pumping with breath held IN give one "mastery" over Prana

We overcome our blocks, weaknesses and fears of Life

Pumping with breath held OUT give one "mastery" over Apana

We overcome our blocks, weaknesses and fears of Death

Prana is creative

Apana is eliminative

Various words or phrases can be used in place of Mastery. Non

reactiveness comes to mind.

It's the blending of Prana and Apana at the navel point that allows the

Kundalini to open

Hope this helps?

Sat Nam,

Dharam Singh
