Guest guest
Depression and mood changes can be a common side effect of such medicine. As you may already know, oral contraceptives reduce the production female hormones, create a pregnancy-like state, and prevent ovulation. The risks of side effects increase with age and smoking. In one sense you are correct, you are changing the natural balance of your system. Like so many other medicines, side effects may go away as the body adapts. Guest guest
Sat Nam, About a week ago, I started taking the contraceptive pill Loestrin 20. Before I started it I had a few concerns knowing that it is synthetic and not natural for the body. Also because from the teachings of KY, I understand that the endocrine glands are the 'guardians of our health' and thought it may upset my body's natural balance. I did a little research and couldn't find much info and also found my doctor unhelpful in explaining any potential risks.. Although I have only been on it a few days I have noticed a considerable drop in my mood, feeling depressed and slightly anxious. Any advice would be gratefully received, Krishan Shiva Kaur
