Guest guest
Sat Nam Kris! When anger is released through energy centers often a rash will appear. Anger in Ayurveda is a Pitta emotion, we are still in Pitta season, and you are purposely trying to rid yourself of inner anger. Gururattan Kaur has let us know of the big emotions coming forth due to the full moon. Remember under the safer emotion of anger lies FEAR! You are progressing! As for the rash, try cilantro in a blender with a little spring water. Apply it to the rash/hives topically, you may also drink the rest. The rash will also just disappear on it's own as emotions continue to be released. Peppermint tea is cooling as is lunar breath. Swimming in a lake or moon bathing is also helpful. I have more dosha balancing tips for the season on www.skyoftheheartyoga.com. Many blessings to you, keep up! Guru Ravi Kaur
Guest guest
Gururattan Kaur, I have been practicing what you described, moving into the energy and feeling it. Today I had deep sadness and grief come up after seeing a man in class with whom I feel unrequited love. I sat on the bed and sobbed a little bit, and felt the churning in my solar plexus, and the rejection in my heart. My dog came up and layed next to me, looking concerned. I thanked her for her uncoditional love and compassion, just let the tears flow, and then got up. It's made me see the pattern of emotional distance from men that I've experienced. I'm hoping to clear it. The daily sadhana pushes me to feel what I've repressed. Guest guest
Dear Gururattan I found this email that you sent to Kris most interesting as I am at present trying to deal with and rid my body of fear. Earlier in the year I was diagnosed with IBS and it has effected my mind so much that I am now scared everytime I must go to dinner with friends for the fear of becoming ill in front of them at their place or at a restaurant. This feeling of fear never happens if I have people to my house because I am in my own place I suppose and I feel safe and in control. When I begin to feel sacred I feel nausea and I just want to get out of wherever I am. I am never physically sick, but my mnd keeps telling me I might be. I am going to try to "befriend" this primal energy using the advice you gave kris - but is there anything other advice you can offer someone in my position. A specific KY technique I can practice every day perhaps? sat nam Julie Kundaliniyoga, "Gururattan Kaur Khalsa" <gururattan> wrote: > Dear Kris, > > I just wanted to add to what I wrote and the suggestions of Chris. > > If you are thinking about fearful situations then you are in your head. Guest guest
Dear Stephenie, > I have been practicing what you described, moving into the energy and feeling it. * This is great! Today I had deep sadness and grief come up * Excellent that you got into the feelings and were with them. after seeing a man in class with whom I feel unrequited love. I sat on the bed and sobbed a little bit * Good to be this honest with yourself. and felt the churning in my solar plexus, and the rejection in my heart. * Yes, you felt it in your body and stuck with it. Great progress. My dog came up and layed next to me, looking concerned. I thanked her for her uncoditional love and > compassion * Thank God for dogs and their big hearts. One of my goals in life is to be as compassionate as my dog. just let the tears flow, and then got up. It's made me > see the pattern of emotional distance from men that I've experienced. * Now this is the best part! You let yourself be so present to your feelings that you got a deep connection with a pattern that you have perpetuated for many years. You got in touch with inner wisdom about how have created a reality that does not serve you. *Our habit is to get into some mental trip about our emotional experiences. But we never get to the wisdom that you experienced. > I'm hoping to clear it. The daily sadhana pushes me to feel what I've repressed. * You will clear it. But not so much by getting rid of something but by replacing this old fear with a deep love of the Divine energy that you feel inside yourself. Actually loving the energy transmutes it. There are so many nuances to reach the same goal of feeling comfortable with a deep energy inside yourself. Good job. Keep going. Guest guest
Dear All, Please add where you are from after your name. Thanks. Dear Julie, > I found this email that you sent to Kris most interesting as I am at > present trying to deal with and rid my body of fear. * Perhaps it would serve you better to have your goal be to feel so safe and strong inside yourself that you can go places and feel comfortable, contained and relaxed. Earlier in the > year I was diagnosed with IBS and it has effected my mind so much * The the problem now is your mind more than the IBS. that I am now scared everytime I must go to dinner with friends for > the fear of becoming ill in front of them at their place or at a restaurant. This feeling of fear never happens if I have people to my house because I am in my own place I suppose and I feel safe and in control. * So this is the key point. You need to feel safe and in control in your own body with your own emotions. This takes time but it is very possible to cultivate a feeling of inner safety. When I begin to feel sacred I feel nausea and I just want to get out of wherever I am. I am never physically sick, but my mnd keeps telling me I might be. * There is the mind part and the emotion part. For the mind part you need to cultivate the neutral mind. It is your negative mind linked up with the postive mind that is sabotaging you. (I highly recommend THE MIND book by Yogi Bhajan that you can get on www.yogatech.com It is very insightful and very healing just to read these words. See chapter 2) The neutral mind evaluates without getting into the drama. I am going to try to "befriend" this primal energy using the advice you gave kris * Great! - but is there anything other advice you can offer someone in my position. A specific KY > technique I can practice every day perhaps? * ONe great meditation is Kirtan Kriya or SA TA NA MA meditation. As you do this be very present to the emotions in your solar plexus or wherever you feel them. This meditation clears the subconscious and if you feel the emotions that are part of the program at the same time, it is even more effective. Get us posted.
