Good to hear from you again...I will repeat some of my e-mail to you because in the state you are in "you" will most likely want to hear some of this over again. Your mind has most likely "stopped" (which is a GOOD thing although frightening for some of us so utterely connected to it! Be very careful with your diet...grounding nourishing foods are best...sweet potatoes, kicheri, yogi tea, etc. You can find recipes on my web site www.skyoftheheartyoga.com Are you living alone? Is there anyone around you that understands this type of awakening that you can "be" with. You need some sangha. Is there an ashram or other group of like minded yogis you can connect to. You may call spiritually to Yogi Bhajan for help and guidance at any time and he will be there with you. In the state you are presently in you will most likely feel his presence and guidance strongly. Know that you are never alone, you are connected to a huge family and through your contact with this group there will be many of us there with you in spirit and praying for you. Some other things that may help...listen to yourself, you are being guided now by Shakti, ground anyway you can, if you can move past the fear (just recognize it as fear) and open to this new experience. You are not the same as you were several days ago and you will slowly process and integrate the Kundalini. I will copy and paste a kriya from Yogi Bhajan that will speak to the Shakti at the end of this mail. Dharam has a link you can listen to how it is chanted. You need mantra (which translates directly to protection). I understand what you are feeling when you say you just want to go back to how your life was before, but that is not possible now...so integrate, stay connected to this group or to your own group of practitioners but please don't isolate yourself. I have many links on my web site also about spontaneous kundalini awakenings as I was in your shoes a few years ago and HAD to seek answers to the bizare happenings. Thank God I found this group and had wonderful guidance from the Ashram I trained at. Please keep in touch and let us know what is happening for you. Be gentle with yourself and don't push. Walking would be my suggestion. Anything too strenuous may be too hard on the physical body right now, but you will know that. Don't isolate yourself. Protect the shushumna with warmed sesame oil every morning and night. I didn't have much luck with any of the techniques mentioned for sleep because the light was just TOO bright and the buzzing TOO loud All blessings for peace and calmness! More thoughts...as Shakti moves through the sushumna, the power as you are experiencing is overwhelming...we practice Hatha Yoga for the same reasons we practice Kundalini Yoga (to awaken Skakti) but our practice can go on for many years in an attempt to strengthen the body, mind, spirit to handle this awakening. What you are experiencing now as you begin the practice either through kriyas, asana, or pranayam after the force is awakened in you; may be compared to pouring hot lava into a styrofoam cup...your body may not be ready. So my suggestion again would be to listen and practice only what feels safe and sweet. You will know! It may take awhile(?) to integrate this force and make friends with it. Let yourself be guided by Shakti. You will be opened up to bliss and sweetness through mantra. Don't push! Also you may ask Pieter on the list for guidance, his guidance and wisdom was paramount for my integration to begin. Please keep in touch with us...we are a family and we care about you!
