Guest guest
Sat Nam, I followed the advice of a very wise child expert ... > Mr Rogers. What he suggested was stressing that the world is full of wonderful people but there are some people who are not so nice but to reassure them > that there are far more good people than bad and that is why the world was sad because of what just a few bad people did. Humm. this Mr. Rogers is an expert on what? judgment? Here is another possibility that might build compassion in a child's heart instead of bad/good categorization -- How about -- there are people who are unhappy because they are not being cared for, feel frustrated and angry because they cannot get their needs met and don't know who to turn to and how to get the love they need. So they do hurtful things to try to get attention. They would not do these things if they were happy, had enough food to eat and felt loved. It must be really sad to not feel love in your heart. How do you (to child) feel when you don't get what you want? Let's pray they everyone can feel loved and send these unhappy people some love too. To child, how does that make your heart feel?
