Guest guest
I am interested in any information anyone could give me about: 1) A Kundalini video I could buy for a beginner/intermediate 2) A Kundalini yoga instructor in the Portland, Oregon area 3) Any ideas on KY and adult ADHD and balancing of chakras when artificially stimulating Kundalini with Ritalin i. The Ritalin really helps me, but it is not without side effects ii. I went to an Ayruvedic doctor who tried to balance my vata in the past and it helped, but the fundamental problem with ADHD is that there is not enough electrical activity in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, this inactivity causes hyperactivity. Thus stimulants to the central nervous system are used to increase this activity. Pacifying Vata (in charge of the nervous system) isn't terribly helpful in this situation. Any comments to any of the three above would be appreciated [Adam B. Schecter]
Guest guest
Hi Adam I can answer questions 1 & 2. First off, check out the Beginners Course offered at www.yogatech.com - in both video and DVD format, and including a free book by Gururattan. Another video good for beginners is In Style Yoga by Ravi Singh, also available from www.yogatech.com Secondly, instructors who are also members of the Yoga Technology Teachers' Forum are listed at www.yogatech.com/directory.html Sat Nam!
