Sat Nam Sat Sangeet!

Good to hear from you! The meditation you describe sounds like what I was

taught by Swami Jyotirmayananda as Shunya Meditation. Sit with a straight spine,

place your thumbs over your ears, index fingers over each eyelid, middle

fingers along side each nostril, ring fingers on the top of the lips, pinkies on

the bottom of the lips. Take a deep inhale and at the top of inhale suspend

breathing; lock all fingers down and listen to the inner sounds. Keep fingers

and

thumbs locked down; as you release the middle fingers to exhale through the

nose. Inhale deeply; suspend breath as you lock down the middle fingers on the

nostrils. Continue in this manner. With practice the inner subtle sounds of the

heart center will be heard.

Yes, that is the exercise, but it is within a KY kriya....if I remember

correctly, there was chair pose in the kriya as well.
