Guest guest
Sat Nam altogether, As part of my teaching experience I have the pleasure of teaching a group of children (12 kids in the age of 6 - 12 years) as an after school activity at our international school. One of the kids has Down syndrome and seems to enjoy esp. the classes. She really 'falls' into the visualizations / meditations and does her best in doing all the exercises. Her parents are impressed with the feedback of her daughter and ask me if I could do 'more' yoga with her. Also I got the question of other parents with kids who 'suffer' (or the parents are suffering ;-) with ADS / ADHS to do special lessons. Here is now my question: are there any specialists out there for dealing with handicapped kids ? Any recommendations re literature? Are there any courses or special training offers ? I would love to learn more about the kids and their special needs. Sending blessings and light from Shanghai, Adarsh S.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Adarsh, I am very interested in how you go about teaching to these children. I am currently teaching children between the ages of 3 to 5 years in Childcare Centres. Can you recommend any books or music, I need new ideas for the classes to keep them interesting for the Children. Any help would be much appreciated.
