Guest guest
Dear Joy, I changed the subject header to fit the question. > If one is practising KY with the objective of opening the crown chakra, what > would be the state of the three lowest chakras? Are they closed (or inactive) I would never suggest that they be closed. Every chakra needs to be alive and functioning properly. > so that the K energies are flowing from the anahata upward? This could create spaciness and leaving the body. It depends on what your other objectives are. If you want to open the crown chakra with the objective bringing in the energy of your soul and universal energies, infusing your mind and body with Spirit, then the flow should be downward. I personally teach people to use the first three chakras to pull the energy into the body and downward. This is done through long deep breathing and breath of fire. THe first chakra should be the solid base so your body can hold the energy. The second chakra should be open and fluid to contain the energy. The third chakra should be pulsing to invite the energy down. There are many variations on the themes. Experiment and experience.
