Guest guest
Sat Nam Vanessa! I am very sorry for your loss. The following meditation is very useful. Akaal-"Undying" Akaal directly translates to "undying" When a loved one passes on we are left with aching, empty hearts. We sometimes long for their physical presence. One of the most unselfish and loving things we can do for our loved soul is to chant the Akaal meditation. For the next 40 days choose a time you can completely relax without any interruptions. This practice only takes minutes but concentration is very important. If you miss one day you begin again at day 1 until 40 consecutive days are complete. Sit in a meditative pose, hands in prayer pose at the heart center. Bring into your focus and attention your loved one, remember everything about them you can. Take a few minutes for this. Inhale deeply and with a powerful concentration, projection, and voice chant "a- kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal" The a is pronounced as short u sound. As you chant project your loved one out to the universe. Pick a place in the universe and project to the same spot each time. Chant in this same way 3 times and you are done. Your loved one will thank you for this blessing. It is powerful for them and deeply heals your grief. Take a few minutes to experience any feelings that come up before you go on to your next activity. Blessings in peace, Guru Ravi Kaur
Guest guest
Dear Guru Ravi Kaur I will do as you suggest, as my father has now passed away, but the unresolved grief was to do with his separation from us when I was a child, and it came up recently after I had some cranial sacral therapy. So I had never allowed myself to grieve his loss as a child, to honour my mother's feelings. I find that grief is not just over someone's passing away, but also when we end a particular life style, as in a divorce, for example, or possibly even a loved job.
