Guest guest
Sat Nam All, I've been practicing RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG for some time now, and of late, have been experiencing awful outbursts of anger & agitation. How do I release these debilitating emotions? It all just makes me feel guilty & very sad, because I don't want to feel or behave in this manner. I've read that individuals who meditate can be exposed to psychic attacks. Is this true? It's been four years now, that I up and left my career in the corporate world, which was a very positive move for me, and have been a practioner of Kundalini for two, but find myself struggling painfully to find my true calling in this world. Also, my Kundalini has been activated and the abundant amount energy within me is not being used productively, but negatively. How do I release it without becoming toxic towards those close to me? I had to stop Sadhana, Sodarshan Chakra Kriya, Kirtan Kriya, and the Gaiyatri Mantra because of the heat it was causing. Please provide me with any advice you may have. I graciously thank all of you in advance. Blessings, Bliss
Guest guest
Dear Bliss, What you are exeriencing is normal, and I like your honesty. So many people don't want to feel or admit to their dark side. My personal experience has been that the light and dark balance each other. As you feel one more deeply, so with the other. Artists know this, and they use the energy to create beauty in their work. Getting outside, exercising so you are tired and sweat a lot, keeping your home clean, clutter free and clear help, too. I do the anger realeasing exercise in Ravi Singh's book Kundalini Yoga for Strength, Success and Spirit every day. You can also just beat the bed and scream into pillow. The key is to let it out without hurting others. It's just energy. If you have been abused, all that will come to the surface to be healed and released. Corporate environments can be very abusive and controlling. I grew up with lots of alchalholics, and they are filled with rage. It's taken me years to clear all of that. I'm still working on it, but I have better self-control and insights now. Finding your "right work" will help. Even if you start by sharing your gifts for free, just expressing them and not sitting on your talents (which is very frustrating)may open the way. My path with Kundalini Yoga has not been easy. I love it, and it has given me tremendous strength and power, but I also have lots of conflict with others. The benefits far outweigh the neagative, though. Wrting angry letters and not mailing them also has helped me to get clear on relationships I need to release. Animals make great companions beacause they are so honest and loving. Good luck on your path. Yogi Bhajan says hat happiness follows sadness. It's true. Yours is coming. Unfortunately, we can't avoid the negative, but we can become more aware and seek out that which opens up our heart and spirit.
