Guest guest
Thought this was another joke, but it's not. It's one of the strangest things I have ever encountered.....almost! Left-brain, right brain trick. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it Do let me know if you CAN accomplish this...
Guest guest
Dharam, As a drummer (who has had to consciously operate each of my limbs independently and simultaneously for decades), it was not that hard for me to do it. I had to first consciously overcome the tendency you speak of though. Guest guest
Dhram, If you draw the six starting at the end point, you can draw the six without changing the foot movement--but this means you are moving with the direction of your foot. Is this a thought for deeper reflection? :-) Interesting...thanks for sharing this. Dawn Thought this was another joke, but it's not. Guest guest
to dharam, et al, well i tried it and i can accomplish this. the trick of it is to really focus on the right foot, get that going and then casually start to draw the six. the very first tendency is to break the rythm of the foot but you can overcome it . sat nam , alan D H A R A M <pran-_yogi wrote: Thought this was another joke, but it's not. Guest guest
Namaste, Try rotating the left hand in a clockwise direction and the right hand in an anticlockwise direction. Any moment between the left and right sides of our body has to be in the same direction and cannot be opposite to each other for some reason. Try any kindof body movement with a different action and you will find it almost impossible to do. A 6 is drawn counterclockwise and your hand moves clockwise so that cant be possible hence the problem. L&L Dan Sat, 30 Oct 2004 10:40:35 -0400 "Dawn Holley" <dholley RE: Trick for a treat?
