Sat Nam!

To strengthen the lungs use shatavari and ashwagandha. Avoid all dairy

(mucous producing ). Try following an anti-Kapha diet and daily regime. The

season

is Vata with Kapha accumulating. You might enjoy inhaling steam in which

eucalyptus, camphor, peppermint, lavender, or sandalwood has been added. Hot

spicy

herbs, dry ginger, pippali, and Trikatu are all helpful. Drinking peppermint

tea or tulsi tea is another idea.

Blessings in health!

Can anyone offer some natural remedies to eliminate chest congestion and

coughs? It is slight, but has lingered for over a week.

I found this remedy actually helped with my chronic bronchitis and coughing

within a week for me--it also seemed to open up my lungs. Take each day until

clears

Boil for 10 minutes a pear, orange peel(about a half), 10 almonds, honey to

taste and small amount of water. Disgard the orange peeling before eating. You

may notice a slight rash on your chest--this is the heat coming from the lungs.

Hope this helps.

Try one capsule of cayenne fruit before going to bed for a few nights.

Always works for me to end chest congestion.

Try 1/2 fresh lemon juice, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 2 cloves fresh garlic (or

ginger if you don't do garlic) a few tablespoons of honey(or maple syrup or

agave nectar) to thicken. Take sips as you need to.
