Guest guest
Sat Nam, I'm stuck on a couple of questions about my practice that have been bugging me for a while; and I think that you guys must know or have went through something similar. I hope the people in the list here might help me with. I am quite thin and over averagely tall, so in stretch pose it takes a substantial effort from me to lift my legs up. But that is not the problem. It does not seem reasonably possible for me to keep my lower back tucked straight AND lift my legs up. Whenever, I succeed in flattening my lower back the legs lose altitude, and whenever I try to lift the legs up the lower back arcs a wee bit. And now, on my good days when I do both, what happens is that both ends of my body lift off the ground and I end up balancing on my buttocks. Is that good or bad? Am I doing/not doing anything wrong? If so what is it? Then there's the issue of the clicking hips. I started doing a lower back and hip series as it is extremely helpful in my "TaiChi Chuan" practice as well. The thing is that I've started noticing Clicks from my hips whilst doing Tai-Chi. I know it wasn't that because I've done that routine for a while without those symptoms. So again, are my hips adjusting to the routine? Or am I doing something wrong? Finally, I thank everyone for this much needed informative list. Keep it lit, Sahib Singh
Guest guest
Long limbed people usually need to work on their centre. Even if you can't get the legs off the ground the full six inches, don't sacrifice the flat back because keeping it flat by activating the abdomen is very important.
