Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I got some conflicting reports on hot shower preceding cold shower but the gist of it I suppose is that a cold shower even following a hot shower is better than no cold shower at all. I do find it refreshing and awakening even if after the hot shower. On another note I was wondering is Qigong enegy cultivation similar in effect and result to KY? Can they be practiced toghether? I've done it and it's refreshing, but it's easier to do here in Japan, with access to bathhouses. - Bill Sakovich

Can they be practiced > toghether? Hi Floyd, My Kundalini Yoga teacher used to do 15 mins. of Kunalini Yoga, a 62 min. KY meditation, and then an hour of qi gong as his sadhana. Yogi Bhajan always stressed to keep the teachings pure, so I would just be sure to tune in and out. One time this teacher gave us a qi gong meditation in Kundalini Yoga class, and it felt really wrong to me. I felt like a circle of Yogis was telling me, "Don't mix techniques...only do Kundalini Yoga meditations in Kundalini Yoga." It was a strong message and I listened to it. Guest guest
Sat Nam, I practice QiGong. I love it! I practice Kundalini Yoga. I love it! We were taught as teachers to "never" mix anything with our Kundalini Classes, to keep the teachings pure. When I practice at home I practice Kundalini (Sadhana) & later in the morning I may practice with my Qigong...but I personally would not MIX the two... hope this helps (: Jiwan Shakti The all-new My - Get yours free!
