Guest guest
Sat Nam, Dear Kartar Kaur, your mail is quite interesting: You act like a teacher (guru - someone who brings others from darkness to light) but you don't to be one ?! Re your friends - follow your intuition. Also tell them, they can do all exercises - simply listen to their own 'inner teacher' - they will know perfectly what to do or not to do. Always remember: Yoga is the science of self-consciousness and no competitive show-off-game. Just an idea: have you thought of joining a teachers training ? I did it out of a selfish reason, because I wanted to learn more about KY and NOT to be a teacher. But suddenly I was sitting in front of bunch of people, guiding them through sets and kriyas ;-) It's never to late to start learning something new. While our teachers training we had a lady in her mid-sixties - and she was one of the most charming, humble and energetic person I ever met. Sending you blessings and light from Shanghai, Adarsh S. Guest guest
Sat nam, Dear Ardesh, You have picked up something. I am sure I was meant to be a teacher. I have been the beneficiary of so much great teaching - in classes, plus what I learn on this list. I had one friend in particular who was such a great teacher. Often when I am doing yoga, I hear her: "breathe deep, more, inhale more." She was very precise: exactly how to place the hands at the sternum for example. The first day I started doing yoga - last Fri -after a 10-year absense, while I was doing it, and my mind wanders, as it does, it would always be to - "Who can I share this with?", and I do see myself leading a class. So yes in my future I see myself doing the teacher training. I can't think of anything more rewarding than teaching Kundalini Yoga. Plus I am already a teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Math, and Reading. Sometimes I imagine teaching yoga to my English class! :> I always think about how much I benefit. Of course everyone is different but in some ways we are so similar. For instance I have a friend who is a heavy smoker. I really believe that if she did Kundalini Yoga, she would stop smoking, because as strong as that addiction is, the force of Kundalini is stronger. A long time ago I used to be depressed, medicated, and suicidal. AFter I did a set for depression for 40 days that was given to me, I never again felt that way. Sure, of course, I get depressed at times, but something changed after that one 40-day set. I never again bottomed out. So you see to me Kundalini Yoga is like a miracle. And being on this list and reading about other people, and knowing other people for whom Kun.Yoga has had miraculous results, I know I'm not alone in that.
