Guest guest
So I am glad to hear someone speak of this. I began to, initially , do spontaneous breathe and hand movements during acupuncture treatments. I had studied Self Realization fellowship and Kundalini for several years, so I understood (to some degree) what mudras and breath work were. I DID NOT understand why they were happening or what the movements meant if they were indeed part of a spiritual unfolding. Not enough is talked about in this area-I believe many experience it. Guest guest
If Kundalini Yoga brought you this far, why stop? These movements you speak of might just be energy(ies) that your yoga and meditation have aroused. Perhaps you should expirement. Do your yoga inspite of these movements for a week or so. And see what happens, do they subside or increase. Then try a week without the yoga, see what transpires. The true test would be whether or not you felt you were still making progress on your spiritual journey or are you simply distracted by these movements. There are many processes along the path, some are useful and some are not so. For wheateverr purpose you took up KY, is that purpose still being served or have you been somehow side tracked. Your question about Sat Kriya. Answer-Sat Kriya never hurts anything or anyone as long as you do it correctly. I want to ask an important question for me. Two years and a half ago and during a silent meditation my body started to move spontaneously and I started to sing melodies also spontaneously. I understand now that my kundalini has been activated in me. those movements have lead me to a style of yoga that I don't know; some kind of chi movements/ > hatha Yoga/Kundalini Yoga/dance. I trust the energy and the intelligence behind those movements. I understand that these kind of experiences happen to yogis sometimes. I haven't done Kundalini Yoga much during these years so I can get to know those movements better. Here is my question: Is it better to follow those wise movements alone as my Yoga practice or should I start doing Kundalini Yoga along with it? is it better to let those movements lead me to the full awakening Kundalini without any other practice knowing that those movements know me and my body and are doing the exact right thing in the right time for me? > > I am just wondering maybe doing the just the Sat Kreya along can make my process faster. > Thanks > Mohamed > >
Guest guest
I am in awe everytime I experience these spontaneous movements. Have done everthing from postures - fish pose with my forehead on the table, mudra where I seem to be doing chakra work on myself, and chanting that sounded like some sort of Indian dialect. And this last time I was on my hands and knees growling like an animal then I spun around counter clockwise three times then rested my chest to my legs like this was some huge release. Have said this before I am very interested in hearing of similar experiences. One thing I can share is that this has never scared or hurt me I enjoy this I love the feeling when this energy moves through me. Guest guest
I am so glad too that someone is speaking about those spontaneous body movements. they seem to me that they know what they are doing on my body. I believe that all styles of yoga have started with those movements. I sing sometimes a sort of Indian dialect too but mostly I sing in Arabic melodies and scales and sometimes words of some kind of old Arabic language sometimes I know what they mean and sometimes I don't (I am Egyptian but I live in Arizona now.) it has been always mysterious to me. I have read about those movements in hatha yoga books but I didn't hear anybody talking about them from the Kundalini yogis. I wonder sometimes what Yogi Bhajan would say about them. Guest guest
I find this a very interesting topic and am curious what types of meditations, kriyas and/or specific chakra work brings these experiences on. Do you mind sharing more on the work all of you were doing? Guest guest
--- Spontaneous sounds (hums, tones, Lemurian language) for me have been a part of the massage healings I do starting years ago. They are channeled from the Tao or Life Force of the universe and heal both my clients and me, removing stuck energy and infusing the body with higher frequencies. I am still getting used to sharing such an esoteric experience with people I may be working on for the first time but no one has ever objected to them. One client who is rather conservative said he thought it was weird at the next session but ironically, gave me a name for the toning and hums (I didn't speak Lemurian with him), calling it magical humming. I suppose this was a sign from Spirit that a skeptic could name it so well. Sat Nam. Guest guest
When this started for me I had no specific belief in anything, Kundalini was a word that I had never heard before. So when this started you can imagine I was more than a little shaken up. Now I seem to be changing - my thoughts are different, I seem to have sort of a direction, I am overall happy content and very curious to continue to delve deeper with experiencing this energy run through me and where it takes me next. I except this as my own exploration, my journey. I would like to share a vision I experienced very early on. I seem to have translated this to some extent any replies would be great. This journey starts with me moving along a path I am very small and I am traveling with a pair of bare feet. I follow these feet up stairs and through an archway. I am on my back and these masked faces are moving at me and then back. From there I fly over a valley with many ridges. When I land I am standing in front of a tree with a great blinding light coming from it and people are walking into this light. Then I grow roots into the ground and my body blends into the tree. From there it is very foggy as the fog starts to clear first I see beach pillars bound with rope then a cross appears. And as the fog clears completely I am standing behind and just to the right of a man with brilliant white hair(I cannot see his face) white clothing and the feet that I traveled with in the beginning.
