Guest guest
Hi all I am new to this group and to Yoga. I have always considered Yoga a difficult art especially Asana yoga that has to do with a lot of body exercises. The impression I always heard was that it is extermely difficult for an adult( I am over 40 years of age) to adapt to the rigorous exercises. So when I came accross the Yogi Bhajan Kundalini yoga on the internet I was excited mainly because Asana yoga is not so emphasized. I have considerable years of experience on the Western Mystery Tradition which is based on the Kabala. So I am hoping that I can learn a lot from Kundalini yoga My question is besides this Yoga Technology website is there a regular curriculum of study which involves initiation ceremonies and stuff? Forgive my dumb question. I am completely new to this. God bless Pete Meet the all-new My – Try it today!

Guest guest
Sat Nam Pete, no, there is no initiation - KY is not a secret science where you need to do 'hidden' stuff. If you want to have most benefit out of KY then I would recommend: practice, practice, practice :-) The easiest access to the overwhelming knowledge and wisdom you'll find by joining a class lead a certified KY teacher. In case you can't find a 'real' teacher, then you could work with DVD's (you can find a quite good selection on www.yogatech.com as well). Besides that there are a lot of books and finally - this list. If you have any question, experience, doubt or comment - post it over here and there is a bunch of lovely souls willing to help you. BTW: if you are in Kabbalah - then you might know Gurunam ?! Sending blessings and light from Shanghai, Adarsh S.
Guest guest
Hi and Welcome Pete, in Kundalini Yoga we initiate ourselves. nobody can intiate you except your own self - the guru is within. Its a process of growth and unveiling of the mysteries, for where there is mastery ther cannot be mysteries. In the aquarian Age information cannot be hidden, everything is open and its up to us to use the information. If you know Kabbalah, maybe Gurunams work is something for you. He is a master of both KY and Kabbalah and the combination is a very powerful one. Guest guest
There is no initiation in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. You initiate yourself by practicing the yoga. There are various curriculums but your best bet is to find a teacher of KY in your area. Look up www.3ho.org or www.ikyta.org and check their directory for a teacher in your area. The is a course right here on this list put together by Guru Rattan Kaur. Check it out, injoy the experience and then pass it on to others. As Yogi Bhajan said many many times, "I came to create not to gather disciples." Enjoy. --- In Kundaliniyoga, "ÿffffffffffffffffc2ÿffffffffffffffffc5 ÿffffffffffffffffa4ÿffffffffffffffffd1ÿffffffffffffffffb2ÿfffffffff fffffffbb" <drfunkcy777> wrote: > > Hi all > I am new to this group and to Yoga.
