Guest guest
I am very interested in what Kundalini yoga teaches about homosexuality and sexual energy with respect to these individuals. How does white tantra yoga apply to these individuals. Or does it? I have been practicing KY now for one month almost daily and feel healthier, radiant and vibrant in a way I have never felt in my life. I am using a DVD made by Germukh. My Libido has substantially increased. I feel 15 years younger. I am wanting to learn more and I am wanting to honor my identity and the tradition. Any ideas? Guest guest
Sat Nam Adam, I have heard Yogiji (speaking as a Yogi) say that any couple, whether they are heterosexual or homosexual, always has to work out the polarity of the Male and Female between them. I have also heard him say something to the effect that while heterosexual relations are more second chakra, homosexual relations have a greater element of the first chakra. I am still meditating on that one. I will say that when we practice Kundalini, and especially at the beginning, our being begins to let go of a lot of tensions and insecurities, angers and fears, that have their root in the first chakra. This drain on our energy cannot be underestimated! It's like we're walking around with a bucket of water with a bunch of holes in it, and we're doing everything we can to keep the water in the bucket. With Kundalini practice (think of Mul Bhand for a moment) we quickly shift our perspective and overcome that inertia. That energy that was leaking out becomes available for "other things" (whink, nudge). We can't rejuvenate until we eliminate (first chakra). We can create until we rejuvenate (from first to second chakra). There is a progression along the chakras. It is very common and normal to have an increased libido with Kundalini practice, especially at the beginning. I have come to find, though, it is important to open up the whole psyche (body) to this new flow of energy, as it is very healing. Doing our practice in the Amrit Vela is the best to do this...it's amazing the difference. It's so painless as the subconscious mind is right out there on the surface. Horniness is for real, otherwise. Without the entire subconscious mind open to this new flow, the energy will travel only in the already familiar, and very popular, pathways. Ginger will help the nervous system channel this extra energy. Sat Kriya is great, too...(I heard). I like getting up in the Amrit Vela, then it's just one big flow with no heavy lifting. Siri Dhyal
I am a man feeling I am really a woman, does it then matter how I hold my hands, or thumbs in for example thunder pose? I'm starting to think I should do the female way, but the tradition tells me to do it the other way around. I think it is an interesting discussion whether the differences in posture apply to people's mere physicality or to the nature of their psyche...
