Guest guest
Sat Nam, I am expecting a baby in August of 2005! Wahe Guru!!! However, I have a history of allergic rhinitis, and am usually on a steroid nasal spray called Nasonex. During pregnancy I have been directed to not use my nasal spray. I can try saline rinses and an over the counter drug called Nasocrom. Does anyone have suggestions for relieving my nasal congestion? It is quite severe. Also, any advice on kundalini yoga and pregnancy? Naturally, I want nothing but the best for the little baby. Thank You, Sat Nam, Ann _______________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
Congratulations, Ann! I am a chronic sniffer and congestoid so I sympathize with you . Here are some of the remedies I have found to be helpful. * elecampene is excellent. Actually, if you go to your local natural food and supplement store, there are myriad different long and short term treatments for yr sortaproblem. just talk to one of the employees, and then if your gut agrees with their advice, do it! ( If it doesn't, then don't buy it. Believe me. I've been through this before.) *a washcloth soaked in hot water and eucalyptus leaves or another herbal decongestant laid over the face fora nominal period of time, while lying down with the baby. *look into getting a Neti pot - it's like a teapot but it's actually a fine way to rinse out your sinus cavities, once you get it just right. it does take a little practice. *massage the area around your eyes (cheekbones, temples, eyebrows and above) with some warm aloe gel, gently. concentrate on the points that are more tender and give them a little more gentle attention. *in a pinch, I make a mixture of aloe gel and ginger juice to gently swab the inside of my nostrils with, drink a hot cup of Breathe Easy yogi tea, and inhale the steam with yr nose. Hope this helps! -Lis
