Dear Kartar Kaur,

re - not> enough sleep - about kidneys.

> What is the relationship between kidneys and sleep?

The kidneys are a source of energy, which needs replenishing. Stress and

lack of sleep take energy. We need sleep and calm to keep them full and

happy.

> I feel like my kidneys are a weak point, so I definitely take your> point

very seriously, as I do not want to stress out my kidneys.

The kidneys take a lot of beating and we don't notice it so much while we

are young, but after 40 we have to treat them very kindly and give up

stressful emotional, mental and excessive physical activites. Good luck!

It is a constant challenge for most of us.

Gururattan,

Are you refering to the adrenals which sit atop each kidney? Just curious

as I have read a lot about sleep problems and most sources say that the

adrenals take a beating with long term sleep deprivation. I think you are

refering to the same thing, but I could be wrong?
