Guest guest
Sat Nam, On the subject of breast feeding - first I would contact the lactation specialist of the hospital where the child was born/ or if birthed at home with a midwife contact La Leche Legue.Don't be shy - these people are there to give advice! Mothers' milk IS Ambrosia, Nectar - all the things that we as adults are searching for later in life. It is of utmost importance that the mother get help ASAP in nursing. In this society where young women are not exposed to their own mothers nursing younger sibs, nor other women nursing openly - how can this gift from God and womanly art be passed on to the new generation? Call in a specialist ASAP!Get support from other women who have nursed/ are nursing. Are the diapers wet? One never knows how MUCH milk one has; but if the diapers have any sort of liquid being passed into them with regularity, and the infant seems sated I would not worry. I found that drinking Jasmine flower tea made my breasts practically burst with milk the next day. It's worth a try for your daughter. I nursed 3 babies each for one year each, without giving them so much as a drink of water nor a single cherrio. I could not have done so w/o the help of the hospital lactation specialist, the support of my mother, example of my nursing sister, etc. The babies were above average weight, average height, bright and to this day in their 20's remain very loving and close. I applaud the grandmother who wrote for advice, get as much as you can; hopefully every baby on Earth can be breastfed.
