Sat Nam Abinashi!

The Ayurvedic Oil Massage is called Abhyanga. It is performed daily with

warmed sesame oil (Vata), coconut oil (Pitta), or almond oil ( Kapha). The

massage

lubricates and tones the skin, muscles, and joints; improves circulation,

helps the elimination of toxins from the blood, elevates energy levels, helps

calm the mind and nerves. It promotes deeper sleep, and sharpens the mind and

will help purify the skin and combat free radical damage. Use about 1/8-1/4 cup

warmed oil, beginning at the head, massage the scalp, ears, face, and move

downward on the body. Long bones use a long stroke, shoulders, knees, ankles,

feet, a circular massage. Pay special attention to fingernails and toenails. If

you are aware of the marma points you can use stimulation on those points that

serve your health. After just 3-4 days of this daily ritual you will shine with

good health! But don't stop there, keep it up. You may add essential oils and

herbs to the oils or order medicated oils prepared specifically for your

imbalance.

Blessings in Health!
