Guest guest
sat nam everybody, I had a beautiful yoga class recently - one person who is schizophrenic and has a degenerating hip, one who is depressed, two people in their 70's- one had heart failure and the other is recieving chemo for cancer, and me! What a great class. Some people on chairs, everyone doing their best. I feel so humbled and proud to be a part of this tradition!! Today the person who is getting chemo told me that after class he was so energized, he had a hard time sleeping. He said he actually felt like electric currents were going thru him. He loved the yoga and wants to do it again. I'm thinking that perhaps so much energy was raised, that him being weakened by chemo, it was overwhelming. He says next time he will do everything half as long a time which sounds like a good idea. I am thinking that we should do an exercise or mantra to ground the energy at the end. I would like to know if anyone can suggest such an exercise, or if you have any other ideas. BTW, the person who is schizophrenic and the person who is depressed also love the class and are going to do it again. This is good stuff! Thank you for any comments.
